Be a member of a rookie hacker team with your friends and steal as much data as you can. Whether to Compete or Cooperate is depend on you.
Hacker 101 is a casual dice game for 4 players, in which you can compete with other players in front of 4 Computer Server, steal the data, and escape.
In Hacker 101, players are hackers targeting at four public Server and attack with different techniques by turns.
This game is inspired by our early game Bather Hurry Up!, a dice game about Japanese bathtub time sharing.
The goal of this game is to generate an easy, dice-rolling, fun-and-luck game with a lot of interactions and schadenfreude. Through random dice, card drafting, dynamic events and abilities, players think in different ways in each game and enjoy a unique game experience.
Under simple rules, players maintain a delicate balance of 'safe' and 'danger'. Excellent art adds the flavor of retro Windows 98 computer aesthetic and humor.

The idea came from our previous game Bather Hurry Up!, a dice game about Japanese bathtub time sharing.
To improve the game narrative, we chose the theme of "Roobie Hackers" for our current game.
The game mechanic is Action Programming and Dice Rolling, which is also inspired by board game Las Vegas and Colt Express. Action cards take effect in a specific order that result in an unpredictable but extremely dramatic result. Strategies are encouraged but not the main purpose of this game.
These inspirations brought us to the current game idea:
a group of hackers competing for limited confidential information from public server. They use various hacking techniques that are executed in an order like calling functions. It could be a dramatic and humorous context for a competitive but casual game.
Hacker 101 is designed to be purely relaxing, fills the space with laughter, and engages players in hilarious emergent bathing dilemmas. It has much teasing and trash-talking among players due to funny actions and interactions, enhancing the relationship between players, possibly friends, roommates, family, neighbors, etc.
The game is a perfect choice to brighten up a party with friends or family get-together, have some fun, and create a few memories. It also can be an icebreaker game that increases intimacy with new people. The situation of bathing together generates a feeling of shared destiny.
Moreover, the strategic part of the game introduces schadenfreude into gameplay, shows one's new, hilarious sides to other people, and integrates personalized player trivia into the game.
Hack the servers and win as many points as you can. After each round of play, the players will get as many points as data cubes from the running Server. The player who gets the most points wins the game.
